It all starts with love. Without love, there will always be a sense of something missing, a void to fill.
Now you might succeed in building great castles founded on things other than love … on fear, greed, need, ignorance … even on ideas that seem ever so noble.
But if you really look, you might find that these castles, however magnificent, are empty of essence … mere façades, hollow, meaninglessness hiding in their every nook and cranny.
Every wall and tower and golden spire will be a desperate attempt to justify its own existence, a constant grappling to hide the emptiness … the grander, the more desperate.
They might be grand enough to fool others, and maybe even to fool yourself. But deep inside you will always know the truth. And if you dare to really look, you will see that whatever riches they contain never will be able to satiate that never-ending hunger deep down in your soul.
For form is but form, and ideas are but ideas.
How will you know to tell the difference? you ask. The answer is you already know – all you need is the courage to recognize truth.
And truth is love, and love is truth.
And love is the unconditional, that which knows no boundaries.
And when you know that, you will love even your false constructs – who knows, maybe even your neighbor, too!
*Bursts out singing*
Love, love, love, love…
(Beatles that is…)
how infinitely true.
