I don’t get bored with the music of Bach.
I often get bored with the music of most artists/composers, even though the initial listening may have been a great experience. I think the reason for this is that most muscial pieces have a purpose – a feeling the composer wants to invoke, the concepts conveyed through the lyrics, a certain idea or perspective.
With Bach it’s different. Bach is an end in itself, it’s complete on its own. It’s like nature, often beautiful and remarkable, inviting to still meditation. But you can never reduce it to something simple, it’s always more and you can never grasp it, it has it’s own world and all you can do is enjoy your own fleeing sensation of it.
Bach akbar.
